Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers

Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are designed to smoothly integrate into your own skin to subtly enhance the contours of your face and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Hyaluronic acid is our own natural moisturiser and it is an important substance that makes up the healthy looking appearance of skin by extracting and holding water. The more hyaluronic acid in the skin the more plumped and youthful it looks. Unfortunately hyaluronic acid diminishes with age. Hyaluronic acid fillers hydrate and plump up the tissue smoothly integrating resulting in an enhanced refreshed appearance.

The treatment will usually take 30 to 60 minutes. During the treatment a topical local anaesthetic cream is used to numb the area. The dermal filler is injected into the area using a fine needle or cannula. Some clients may experience swelling and redness after the treatment (concealer can be used). The effects are instantly noticeable.

As hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance it slowly gets absorbed by the body over time meaning that its effects tend to last from 6 to 18 months. Another advantage of Hyaluronic acid is that if the client does not like the effect it can be removed by an injection of an antidote.

Dermal fillers can be used to treat static lines including:

Nose to mouth lines (Nasolabial folds): these lines can be the most noticeable on the face they can be smoothed away using a combination or layering of dermal fillers.

Lip lines (Perioral Lines): these lines are often referred to as ‘smokers’ lines’ however these lines can be hereditary, you don’t need to be a smoker to get them. They can be smoothed with dermal fillers.

Mouth to Jaw lines (Marionette lines): these lines can give a ‘down in the mouth’ appearance, treatment with dermal fillers can give an instant more cheerful expression.

Lip enhancement Lip border (Vermillion Border) and Lip plumping: The subtle feature of the border of the lips diminishes with age the lips can lose volume and get thinner. Dermal fillers can be used to restore the border of the lips or to fill and plump the lips.

All clients will get a complimentary initial consultation appointment and an individual treatment plan/prescription.
