Platelet rich plasma (PRP) or ‘Vampire or Dracula Facelift’

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) or ‘Vampire or Dracula Facelift’ is used to rejuvenate the skin by naturally improving the texture and tone. It is a very natural way to plump out scars, lines and wrinkles.

PRP has been used in medicine for many years to treat sports injuries to muscles and tendons in order to accelerate the healing process in the body. More recently it was observed that the procedure has aesthetic benefits.

The procedure takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes and involves taking blood in exactly the same way as any standard blood test. This is then spun down using a centrifuge which separates out the blood cell, serum and platelets. The platelets which hold all the natural growth factors that stimulate collagen and tissue growth are then injected into the areas that require stimulation and rejuvenation.

Most people benefit from one treatment but treatment can be repeated after 3 months. The results of skin rejuvenation with PRP will last for up to 3 years although this will vary from person to person as collagen is being regenerated. Lasting results will be influenced by ongoing care of the skin including lifestyle choices such as sun exposure smoking and alcohol.

All clients will get a complimentary initial consultation appointment and an individual treatment plan/prescription.

The client will return for the treatment of choice (allowing for an individual prescription and time for reflection and further discussion if needed).
